  'the Immortals'

(Xerxes Bodyguard- 480 B.C.)

In 480 B.C.,'Thermopylae'(Greece), Xerxes (Born 519 B.C. - Died 465 B.C.),'Pharaoh of

the Gold Horde' of 'Persepolis'(Iran) marches an army of 40,000 Persian soldiers into

'Athens'(Greece),making Xerxes 'Pharaoh of the White Horde'. As 'Pharaoh of the White Horde',Xerxes controls lands from Britannia,Hibernia(a.k.a.,'Ireland'),Hispania,

Italia,Germania,Greece,Thracia and etc,later Leonidas I (Born n/a - Died 480 B.C.),

'Praefectus-Praetorio'(from 490 B.C. till 480 B.C.) of 'Sparta'(Peloponnesus) leads an

army of 100,000 Spartan soldiers to attack Xerxes army of 40,000 Persian soldiers,

Xerxes army of 40,000 Persian soldiers are destroyed by Leonidas, only leaving

Xerxes a surviving 5,000 Persian soldiers. Xerxes flee's the battlefield with his sur-

viving 5,000 Persian soldiers through the narrow gorge we call 'Thermopylae'(Greece),

it is at 'Thermopylae'(Greece) that Leonidas makes the fameous statement to Xerxes,

Leonidas said,"Be prepared to die,our Spartan arrows will blot out the sun",Xerxes

replies,"Then we'll have our battle in the shade",it is there we find Leonidas leading the charge of 100,000 Spartan soldiers in pursuit of Xerxes 5,000 Persian soldiers, like a cork in a champagne bottle,Leonidas and a pocket of '300 Spartans' are pushed unwilling toward Xerxes, Main Body army of 5,000 Persian soldiers, where Leonidas meets his death in 480 B.C. Was it over confidence,a guaranteed victory that led to Leonidas's death, the answer to that question is ,yes. When Xerxes made it back to 'Persepolis'(Iran),the surviving 5,000 Persian soldiers that escaped with Xerxes in 480 B.C.,were given the honorary name of 'the Immortals',the honorary name of 'the Immortals' was given to the surviving 5,000 Persian soldiers, after Leonidas's death in 480 B.C. So this explains why the Phocian Army departed the battle of 'Thermopylae'

(Greece),the Phocian army consisted of 50% of the Spartan army,so when the Phocians left ,Leonidas had a remaining army of 50,000 Spartan soldiers at 'Thermopylae'(Geece)

in 480 B.C.,remember that Leonidas had a 10-1 advantage over Xerxes 5,000 Persian soldier army that day. The Phocians left thinking that it would be a mop up job for

Leonidas and his remaining 50,000 Spartans,so they left the battlefield thinking that

the battle of 'Thermopylae'(Greece) was a far gone conclusion in favor of Leonidas

in 480 B.C.,but history dictates that over confidence would kill Leonidas that day.
